Violinist Sarah Chang by Jacqueline

She is known for being a violin virtuoso.

Biography:
Sarah Chang was born to two already musically talented Korean parents. Her father was a violinist while her mother was a composer. She has a younger brother named Michael. She started playing the violin at age 4 with a 1/16 sized violin and auditioned for Juilliard School, playing Bruch Violin Concerto No. 1 in G minor. She was a child prodigy and recorded her first album when she was 10.
Sarah has played with the New York Philharmonic, Boston Symphony, Vienna Philharmonic, and numerous others. Many awards have been bestowed upon her like Hollywood Bowl’s Hall of Fame award and Gramaphone Magazine’s Young Artist of the Year. She continues to tour and record CDs. Her next recital is in Barbican Hall in London. Her instrument is a 1717 Guarneri del Gesu violin and she uses an assortment of different bows.
