Name: Itzhak Perlman

Israeli Violinist

He was known for his famous work on the violin.

He was born in Palestine, which is now called Israel. He moved to New York City in 1958 when he was 13 to be part of a show called the 'Ed Sullivan Show' and afterwords, he decided to stay in America. He performed in the Carnigie Hall and several other places, and also won lots of awards for his work on the violin.
By 1975, Perlman had made himself enough of a legacy that he played 100+ annual concerts a year with his 60,000 dollar Stradavarius. He was earned a MEdal of Liberty for his promoting of classical music. He has played in just about every Symphony in the world also.
